Refund Policy

1. Overview

SmartArticleBot offers a subscription-based service. Because our platform begins processing your keyword plan and queuing articles immediately after payment, we operate a limited refund policy as described below.

2. Free trial before payment

You can sign up, connect your site, and review your full 40-keyword content plan without providing a credit card or paying anything. We encourage you to evaluate the keyword plan before subscribing to make sure it meets your expectations.

3. Refund eligibility

We offer refunds in the following circumstances:

  • 7-day money-back guarantee: If you have not had any articles published to your CMS within 7 days of your first payment, you may request a full refund of that charge.
  • Service outage or failure: If a verified technical failure on our end prevented article publishing for a material portion of your billing period, we will issue a pro-rated credit or refund.
  • Duplicate charge: If you were charged more than once for the same billing period due to a payment processing error, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.

4. Non-refundable situations

Refunds are not available in the following situations:

  • Articles have already been published to your connected CMS during the billing period.
  • You did not approve any keywords or configure a CMS integration during the billing period.
  • You request a refund more than 7 days after the payment date.
  • Cancellation of a subscription mid-period. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle and do not entitle you to a refund for the remaining unused days.
  • Dissatisfaction with article quality where articles were delivered without a reported technical error. We encourage you to use the review queue and edit articles before publishing.

5. How to cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your billing dashboard or via the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to the platform and your published articles until then.

6. How to request a refund

To request a refund, email us at support@smartarticlebot.com with the subject line “Refund Request” and include:

  • The email address on your account.
  • The date of the charge you are disputing.
  • A brief description of the reason for your request.

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days.

7. Chargebacks

We ask that you contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks that are filed without first contacting us may result in the suspension of your account. We are happy to resolve any billing issues directly and promptly.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of SmartArticleBot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
